The Oracolo '01, made mostly form sangiovese....
owes its status as best estate wine to a lovely ensemble of fragrances,
including green bell pepper, stylish notes of spice and excellent
lively fruit. The palate offers a firm, dense body, with good
concentration and an orderly, velvety progression leading to a relaxed,
smooth finish.

2001 ORACOLO ($50.00)
RED 91
Marco Mazzarrini, a consulting oenologist, who also worked
for a year with Luca D'Attoma, has his own vineyards and cellar in
Castellina in Chianti. The 2001 Oracolo, a classy Sangiovese is very
spice and penetrating on the nose with ample coconut and incense notes
to accompany the red current/cherry fruit and an elegant, shapely,
stylish palate, vrey balanced and harmonious, well defined and with
fine depth, a classic and focused high altitude expression of the
variety. Drink 2005-2014.
