Altitude: 750 ft (250 m)
Soil: Alternating marl (chalky clay) and crumbled sandstone -
caracteristic for the Friulian hills.
Grape variety: 50% Pinot Bianco, 35% Tocai Friulano e 15% Riesling
Training of vines: Guyot Monolaterale
Vines/Acre: 1,700 (4,200/Ha)
Age of vineyard: 1973
Yield/Acre: 1,600 liter (4,000 liter/Ha)
Harvest: First three weeks of September
Vinification: The varieties are fermented separately with specially selected
strains of yeast, using enological methods and state of the art
equipment, which allow very soft pressing to avoid the crushing of  the pits that could add an unpleasant bitter taste to the must.

Characteristics:
Color Straw yellow, intense and brilliant
Fragrance rich perfumes of mature fruit with vanilla from new oak barrels.
Taste Intense aromatic flavors of pine apple, mango and banana. The pleasant acidity gives the wine a persistent and elegant finish.
Food matching: Combines well with fatty salami but also with flavorfull pasta sauces and both white and red meats.

Some very ripe fruit in this rather mature white from Friuli. Aromas of lemon peel, ripe apple and wax. Full-bodied. Fruity. Medium finish. Pinot Bianco, Tocai Friulano and Riesling. Really needs drinking at this point. Drink now. 450 cases made. (JS)
