Poggio Amorelli
Location:
The winery is located in one of the most enchanting places in the Chianti area. It is a little over a mile from the old village: Castellina in Chianti and measures 63 acres of which 25 are planted with chianti classico grapes and 10 acres are destined for the production of olive oil.
Winery:
The new state of the art winery is in the center of the farm, almost completely build into the rocks. The fermentation tanks are partially stainless steel and partly wood, completely automated and temperature controlled.
Vineyards:
In addition to the 15 acres planted on the estate the winery rents a further 25 acres in the chianti classico area near Castellina in Chianti. Around 10 of these are near the old monestary called Godenano (they enjoy) on the other side of Castellina in Chianti from Poggio Amorelli. These vineyards produce the grapes for Gode II (enjoy twice).
